What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is a form of supportive and in-depth therapy for individuals going through critical events in their life and try to heal from deeply suppressed emotions that might hinder your ability to move on.

Sigmund Freud, father of modern psychoanalysis, remarked, “Talking cures” in reference to psychotherapy process. Psychotherapy is a term generally used for treating mental health disturbance with biological or familial causes, emotional struggle and suffering from present and past stressful conditions which may not have any corresponding biological factors by talking with a psychotherapist, psychologist or another mental health provider.

During Psychotherapy you will learn about your condition, moods, feelings, thoughts and behaviours.

A Psychologist helps you learn how to take control of your life and respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills.

Counselling primarily aims to provide emotional support and support your ability to develop problem-solving skills when you are faced with interpersonal issues and career-related struggles.
